Default C2 Windshield Installation

I read in a restoration book about a C3, that the windshield could be glued in like a modern windshield instead of using the rubber seal. Can this be done to a C2 Coupe. Does the surround have to be modified, and has anyone here done it.

Thanks.

The C3 IS glued in like a modern windshield. The framework on a C2 does not lend itself to this but it might be possible. There would be another problem of fitting the windshield trim so that it look good. I really dont see why you would want to do this except on a major custom job.
