I got my new set of blower pistons from Keith Black today. That's the good news, the bad news is they are a couple of grams lighter than the old SRP's so the motor will have to be completly re balanced now. Should have known it wouldn't be that easy and cheap . Glenn

How much lighter are they, if they are say less than 50 grams difference I wouldn't worry about it.

Does your engine have wing nuts in place of arp fasteners? Getting pretty good at this mechanical parts replacement program. Sounds like it should be dialed in shortly. Good luck...

Default Q!

Regardless of weight, those pistons are so good looking it's a shame to hide them inside the block!

Good luck--and please keep us advised as to your progress.

They are only about a5 grams lighter, but I don't think I'll take THAT chance, considering how much power I'm putting out and how hard I use it when it's running. I got too much money and time to cut a corner now. I just get so damn tired of throwing money at this thing though.
I will keep you updated guys, and I DO have Zuse fasterners on the body, which I just had to replace by the way cause they were getting worn out an the springs broke on the self ejecting part of several of them, on the front section by the way. Ummmm. Glenn

You gave me an idea. $10,000 would pay for 1,000 men for one hour at $10 per hour (unskilled workers). If each man could push with a force of 50 pounds, they could generate 50,000 pounds of force for one hour. According to Newton, a 50,000 pound force acting on a 3,000 pound object with negligible friction would accelerate at a rate of (32.2 ft/sec/sec x 50,000/3,000) or 536.7 ft/sec/sec. Such an object would reach 536.7 ft/sec (365.9 MPH) in one second and cover a quarter mile in about 2.22 seconds. Even doubling the time to allow for frictional losses, those 1,000 men could provide enough force for more than 720 quarter mile runs. So, perhaps you should consider throwing your money at car pushers rather than engine parts.
