Anybody ever try the homebrew octane booster as indicated on following website: www.vtr.org/maintain/gasoline-octane.shtml ?

I use #1 and have tried #2, I prefer toluene as the xylene is more money and seems to make starting harder. I mix this for my unleaded twin turbo car, and I might try it with the vette when it is up and running again, however race fuels might be a better choice or even lead additives...in a catless car. FYI I pay about $7.00 a gal for toulene it is just about a wash to get 91 up to 94 as just buying VP or similar.

Funny, there is no mention of Napthalene Moth ***** in that article about octane boosters. No muss, no fuss, just open the box and pour them in! I don't know how many moth ***** per gallon of gas, but back in the 60's, we just poured in about a half a box to a tank full of gasoline. Of course that was when I was running a 1953 Hudson Hornet with milled head, race cam, and twin carburetors.
