Default Need Help !!!

Hey guys,
I just joined so if I'm not that knowledgeable please forgive me. I'm trying to find the current owner of a 1967 vert. I have the VIN # . My father was the original owner / purchaser. The last known owner restored the car in the 80's. He had put together the history of the car and contacted my father to gather info. This gentleman sold the car about 14 years ago and believes it's in the Chicago area.
The car was originally a Lyndale blue vert and had an 427 cid motor from the factory. It also had a 411 rear end from the factory.
What are the ways to try to find this car and contact the current owner? I've heard of the National Corvette Registery. I'm not sure what type of services they provide. Can they help in this search? Also would Car Fax have any info? Thanks for your help !!!

Look here to see if somebody registered it. It goes by Vin #

http://www.c2registry.org

Car Fax have any info? They don't go back that far, only newer cars.

Glenn,
I haven't had any luck yet. I appreciate you asking. I checked the Corvette C2 registery, no luck there. I also posted a request on the Corvette Mid Year Enth. site. They have a section for people looking for current or previous owners. I submitted a request on 9/11 and as this writting I did not see my request on the list. I submitted the same request again. I also contacted the NCRS via their website. I may need to call them. I figured I'd give it a couple of days. The vin # of the car I'm looking for is : 1946 77S11 6629 just in case the owner looks here !!! Thanks again, Brian

Brian, I just went through this to find my old 67. If you have a friend in law enforcement, have them run the vin. They should be able to tell you where the car was last registered. I found mine that way.
