Hello, I have a 75, but my brother just got a 62 about 6-8 months ago. I told him I was getting mine back to a driver, and that I just join a corvette forum. He ask me what rim should he get to fit both the old hub cap and what org tire he should replace on the 62. Will I told him I would ask. So, if anyone can help with this information, I will past it along to him. Thanks advance.
Original wheels were 15x5 w. nubs to hold the hubcaps had centers that were spot welded . 62s came originally w. 670x15 tires. R205x75x15 radials come closest to the original size.
Will this size tire and wheel fit in the spare tire opening in the trunk?

Unfortunaely a DOT regulation alters the manufactor of todays tire which causes the tires cross section to be taller than the spare tire well . The cover board will stick up about 1/4 inch,

Corvette Central has the correct 15x5 rims with the "nubs" that retain the wheel covers; they have new replacements, or reconditioned originals. Rims without the "nubs" won't work with stock wheel covers unless you're handy with a welder and add the "nubs" yourself.
