Default Frame off progress

Well here is the current progress.
Got the car home from the painter today, removed the body, stripped the plastic off the frame and washed it, then mounted the engine and gas tank, and did some work to the engine. Tomorrow i plan on blacking out the wheel wells and scraping what is left of the undercoating off the foot wells. Hopefully by sunday i will have the chassis back under the body. More updates to follow.Well here is the current progress.

Looking very good! And an excellent view of why the gasline cannot be replaced without lifting the body.

The hard part is over-blasing and powdercoated. Assembly is fun time. We are cleaning the underneath of the tub today and putting the ingntion shielding etc on. Plus mounting new nut plates for the rear valence and drilling and mounting the grille brackets. I had to replace the passenger fender skirt since the old one was damaged and repaired poorly. Should be fun trying to locate the brackets correctly and get the grille centered.

Your 'helpers' must actually help....some how mine always slow me down, not always a bad thing, and they do make the job even more fun. Car looks great, wish I had the proper stuff and money to do that sort of job...ah well next time....keep up the good work.

About those helpers...is it my imagination or are the upper control arm cross shaft nuts on backwards?
