Default Progress report & inquiries

Received a package from Ecklers this afternoon.........

Installed the new headlight switch & all the dash lights worked!!
I also purchased a set of T-3's & they worked as well!!

Question: When I bring the switch to the first postion the parking lights (front) illuminate as well as the rears, when I pull to the second position the front parking lights turn off & headlights come on.(rear light stay lighted)
Is this correct??

The car had a Hazard switch installed, it is mounted through the parking brake hanger. After tinkering with it, I noticed that on the rear of the switch there are 2 female connectors which is part of the mechanism. When I jump these two the hazard lights operate.
What should be placed between the connectors?
The unit itself already has a fuse.

My guess would be a simple toggle switch. Hazard lights were not available from the factory in 65 as far as I know.

Is it a 66 style 4 way flasher? Is there a flasher plugged into the switch? Is that where you are jumping it?

Dave,

No, there is nothing plugged into the rear. Seems like there should be a flasher attached to the rear of the unit.

Off to the parts store this morning to see if I can acquire one.
