by "build date" you mean the engine assembly date appearing on the stamp pad? If so, I would think yes ("putting them in still warm" as they say). My spread (block cast to engine assembly) on my 65 SB is 12 days . . .

If, however, you mean "birthday" by build date, that's still technically ok, but will likely raise the level of attention to the stamp pad . . .

[/QUOTEMaybe I wasn't clear in my question. Not unusual for me!! The engine cast date is J-24-3. My 64 coupe birth date is 10/29/63. This seems real close to me given casting machining, assembly and shipping time from flint, plus in 63 this was over a weekend 24th a Thursday, and 29th a Tuesday in October 1963.
What do you think now???

Yeah I respond to the blunt truth, after all........
"I know what you're thinking, punk," hissed Wordy Harry to his new editor, "you're thinking, 'Did he use six superfluous adjectives or only five?' - and to tell the truth, I forgot myself in all this excitement; but being as this is English, the most powerful language in the world, whose subtle nuances will blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' - well do you, punk?"

Stolen from runner up in this year's Bulwer-Lytton awards, But my favorite.

Again thanks for everyone's help and I hope this brings you a smile!!!
