63 split window moulding

Posting for a friend.
How to safely remove the moulding and window seals(front&rear)?Tools,tips,tricks would be appreciated.

1. You need the tool shown below
2. There are clips below the mouldings which somehow need to be released.
3. If any of the body guys out there can post a detailed description of this with a schematic, alot of us would be very grateful.
4. Be careful with the SWC, those moldings cost alot of $.
