This VIN is one higher in sequence of 22,940.
What info is on the trim tag?
What is the history of this Corvette?
Thank you,

It's amazing what you can do with some sheet metal, a set of numeric dies and a few rivets these days.

How did this car get Bloomington Gold with a known restamped block?

If it appears as "typical factory production", it will pass scrutiny.

Ugh!! I can deal with "The Last Sting Ray" (2 words) because I know that 67 was the last year Chevy used 2 word Sting Ray to badge the cars. (Although print ads for the 68 corvette did refer to the car as a Sting Ray)

But I just watched the trailer, and of course they refer over and over to the Last "Sting Ray" which sounds exactly like "Stingray" and this makes me gag every time I hear it. Totally misleading to an uneducated public. Hence forward 69 (and later) corvette owners will be asked, "Is that a 66? I know it can't be later than 67 because I saw that show on TV and the last Sting_ray was a 67."

Hyping the market value of Proteam's property is more important than historical accuracy or educating the public.

Wanted to bring Chuck's post to the top as a reminder in case the left over turkey and trimings overeating made anyone forget

Oh the drama.... The matching numbers block has been damaged. Without it the value of the car could be seriously compromised.....

Proteam had a 300K budget on a re-stamp???

I must have missed the re-stamp part, 15 mins ago they were looking to weld the broken starter pad.

They seem to have failed to mention the restoration engine part.

So far it's a nice show about the history of the Corvette, not much on the last Sting Ray.

So far it would make for a nice show even without the last Sting Ray angle.

Yeah, they explained the Sting Ray/Stingray thing at the start of each of the first 3 episodes. Anyone who watches the show will know the difference.

They seem to have glossed over the entire restoration. They went from taking it apart to putting it back together in one show... The real value in the show here is the rare '50s and '60s racing footage. I'm hoping to see some Grand Sport footage...

Three hour show, and they spend about 20 minutes on the resto ? The thing's those Nabers boy's could have shown us...Ohhhh the drama of the broken block Please stop repeating Sting Ray vs Stingray !!! I could also do without the C3-C6 history.

So, what is it going to bring at B-J ???

I just don't know. $300,000 is way out of line for a 390hp re-stamp, obviously. With the hype... and the fact that BJ is the home of 'more money than sense' all bets are off.
