Windshield pieces
I am asking about the bright work around the windshield of my '65. The top piece where the rag top fits appears to be stainless steel. Are the two pieces down the sides of the windshield also SS or are they chromed? My top piece can stand something to shine it up, but I obviously don't want to start polishing on something plated with an abrasive.
Any info appreciated.

They are stainless steel.
They do have a flash chrome plating from what I'm told.
I polished mine with a buffing wheel and a stainless buffing compound.
They look like new now.
