Anyone know what might be considered the most desireable/correct color combination for a 1965 GG convertible with black interior. Buying a new top and trying to decide on the color (black, tan or white)?
Thanks for the responses. I like the tan with the GG, but figured it would be more appropriate with a tan interior as well. Since mine has black, wasn't sure if the top should match the interior.

Hello Red,
Black was the standard color for the top. The light colors of white and tan will give you contrast. What type of tires are you using black walls, white walls or gold line? Now this is the factor to pick the right combo.
My pick would be Glen Green with tan top and gold line tires. The next pick would be white top with white walls. Last pick black top with black walls.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have blackwalls, but would be open to going with Goldlines and a tan top. I guess this could work with the black interior.
I like the color combinations of tan and red and black and tan. I'll where a black shirt with light tan pants, or tan pants with a red shirt, looks good. I think the tan top and your red car would look great.

I had a '65 GG w/tan interior and 365hp back in the day. The top was white. If I had that car today tan would be my first choice. Don't worry at all about your interior being black.
