I didn't want t hi-jack the Pre-ignition so I'm starting a new one. I'm ready to pull the trigger on my 327 350hp buildup but keep getting opinons that range from use flat top pistons only to I have no problem using dome pistons. I've had 2 engine builders and 1 Vette shop owner tell me to use flat tops or I will have a Pre-ignition problem. Not sure I agree with all this.
Is anyone getting 350hp out of a 327 with flat tops?

Oh, and put that solid lifter cam in it, works fine with those 202 valve heads, If you get that far, get back to me as I have a few other nice tricks.
