Default C-2 Seat Frames

I briefly looked at the seat frames and thought it was necessary to remove the Beefy Rivet Connector located near the lock mechanism to disassemble/access the slide "bearing" area. (they are not here now for me to look again)

If so, is it ground away, sheared or drilled. Also, how is it replaced?

There was a previous post that someone had that said they got theres out without removing that rivit. I couldn't get the locking arm out of the way enough to remove the rails. I had to remove that rivit. I haven't ordered a replacement yet. I'm still working on my seat frames too. I'm learning on the first seat. I'll try to take some pictures of the second seat frame.

Spot welding may work as we were looking at making replacements for the seat tracks. Obviously there is a strong need for the tracks as trapped water rusts the supports off. And we all know a windshield is just to keep the water off your face.
