Default This isn't for every one, but it's cool.

saw this on the C3 side
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...highlight=halo
Page three has pics

I think it could be cool, might even get by NCRS I just need to see make sure I don't need to modify the housing. I don't suppose any one knows if a 63 and a 78 housing have a similar size hole for the wiring?

Look like flame throwers...... stand too close and your pants catch fire.

You'll have more success doing this than getting NCRS to say "yes" to those

IMO not only ncrs problems, but you may not be able to get the blue halos past state troopers in those states where blue is reserved for emergency vehicles.

From the link to the c3 post (above), it seems like the c3 guys are really interested in "outshining" bmws.

Ranks right up there with the guy I saw in the C6 forum who rigged up a license plate that --

DIGITALLY FLASHED HIS PHONE NUMBER SO ALL THE WOMEN COULD CALL HIM WHEN THEY SAW HIM IN HIS 'COOL VETTE.'

I'm not kidding.......I wish I could find the thread...the guy was in serious need of some help.....

These are commercially available. Not as a license plate replacement, but as a license plate frame. $49.99 and you can say what ever you want when they don't wave back....

Actually I am serious. Except for the NCRS crack of course.

I didn't know flared fenders from back in the day were the only mod that was acceptable on a C2. Seems to me if you didn't F up any thing original on the car who are you hurting. Its all people see of your car at night any way. May as well look good too.
I don't know, maybe I like the mod because I like BMW's so much.

I think they would look Fantastic on the baddest vette around.

I occasionally drive my beast at night and i cant see a damn thing. I think having an upgraded light is a good thing. I am not so sure about the blue halo...but who sees it until night time anyway...we have hideaway headlights. if you like it...do it and post a review

I'm thinking about it, but the last few upgrades( 5 speed , jeep box, and wheels and tires) are costing me valubale wife credits. It might have to wait a few months.

Actually the flares s#ck too.

Those things are classic "C3 trailer park tacky." Maybe you can find a nice Trans Am sticker too.

But hey, it's the "baddest Vette around."

Please backtrack and say you were kidding. We're giving you a chance....

OK maybe the blue color isn't the best, but atleast the halo part of the bulb looks cool. Right ?

I thought the C3 trailor park trash coment was pretty damn funny. reminds me of Joe Dirt and his mulet.

I think the blue is ok, and the lights are a cute mod, but I would get a ticket for displaying blue lights on a nonemergency vehicle.

Where are you located that you can't use blue lights? What about all the new cars with zenon bulbs?
