Does anyone have any feedback on the venders at corvette shows that cover seats while you wait? I'm heading down to Houston this weekend for the corvette/chevy show and apperently there will be a couple booths that provide this service. Seems like they might be rushed and more prone to do a lousy job? Thanks
The only one I'm aware of is Al Knoch. You have to have a reservation or made previous arrangements from what I'm told. He also only does his products, so you'll have to have his foam, wires, covers, etc.
I'm in the same boat here trying to find someone to put my 67 seat covers on.
Did you ever find a hardtop?

I recover only corvette seats and do quite a few. Aprox 25 to 30 per year. It usually takes me about 10 hours per set. That is breakdown to finish. If there is sandblasting and painting or welding or broke bolts add on the time. I can spend 30 to 40 minutes along on just getting the wrinkles out with a heat gun after they are covered. So I would say that unless everhthing goes exactly right that "while you wait" is a stretch. That is, if you want a "kick *** job". Just my opinion.

Al knochs people are the only ones I see covering seats and putting on new vert tops. My friend had his top put on during the show which was a excellent job that took most of the day and then you cant remove the car until the end of the day.He did have to pre-arrange it weeks in advance.
The Al Knoch people were doing tops at the Kissimmee NCRS show, but I didn't see them doing seats? Give them a call, maybe they do and I just didn't see?

I had the seats in my '56 done my Al Knock at Carlisle this past summer. I purchased everything from Knock and they did the work on Saturday. They had one guy working on my seats and it took him all day to do the two seats.
They look great and fell great, well worth the cost.
I think it was about $250 for the seat cover install, don't know about the top.

I had Al Knoch put a top on my 65 last year at the houston show.It took all day and I made a reservation about 4 months ahead of time. I think the total cost was $700 cash.
