Differential Rust

Blasted my differential and painted with Dupli Castcoat iron paint and without even being out of the garage it's got rust on it. Anybody have any ideas to prevent this? Thanks for the help .

It took 3 coats to get mine sealed. Just keep painting it.

What I did to mine was phosphate the casting (soak in phosphoric acid) seems to have sealed the casting and removed any rust in the open pores. Hope this sugggestion helps, but I was doing a total rebuild or the rear and suspension.

Differential Rust

Since I have already painted it and the rust is still forming, is there any other prepping I need to do before re-painting? (Differential has been rebuilt and is together.)

Even though my differential was rebuilt, I took it apart and powdercoated it "Cast Iron" color, like just about everything else under the car.
