Roger is working on my 63 SWC clock and my speedometer, odometer and trip meter. He works on all Vette clocks etc.
Clocks by Roger took two tries to get my 57 clock right. I paid for all of the extra shipping. Not sure if Roger is what it once was!
I agree with John. I've had some very questionable work done by him before. On my latest clock repair, I just gave it to the local Stewart Warner rep. and he did a great job. Cost and level of service was very reasonable too!
Did a search and could not find the vendor of choice for repair.
Please help. Thanks
Earl
I bought my clock on Ebay from Gary Castle. It was show quality for $150.00 and beautiful. I think he also repairs and refurbs. Really into his clocks and was a nice guy to work with and helped me with install questions. Highly recommend him to anyone. Here is the info I have on him from 3/06. email - gccastles@yahoo.com tel - 541-956-1567
Been talking to Jerry at clockworks, seems to know his stuff. How many opt for quartz? NCRS Guys, how many points does it cost you, if any? I hooked it up to 12v today and she is dead as a door nail. Found a extra I had with my '56 Bel-Air, hooked her up and guess what? Tic Toc Tic Toc. Go figure!!
A quartz conversion will cost you 25 points (total deduction) - BIG hit!
That is as much as having the wrong vin on your engine pad.
Why not just fix it yourself? The hard part is getting the clock out of the car. The easy part is opening it, blowing it clean, file the points, dab some very light clock oil on it, and reassemble. Test and reinstall.
John, Thanks for the info. 25 Big Ones answers the question.
Mark, I would try that but the tab on the back that plugs into the harness is broken off. I had a bodyman take it out so I don't know what happend? Jerry at clockworks said he would replace it for 10 bucks, seems fair.
