I just got the word that Jerry Clark has passed away. For those of you that didn't know Jerry he was a corvette restorer extraordinaire. His last project was the King Ray for corvette enthusiast mag. He was a good guy that was always there for you ,with any help he could give wanting nothing in return but that you love the hobby as he did. I was lucky enough to know Jerry and will miss him.

P.S. What does sail boats have to do with corvettes? I do not live near the coast.
A lot of us knew and now miss Jerry. I stayed at his place a few weeks ago and was lucky enough to get to drive King Ray a good bit. He gave me one of his Jerry's Vette Service t-shirts that weekend just before we headed out to Orlando from his place in King Ray. It is now one of my prized possessions. I hope KR gets a good home.
He was a kind, generous man who helped people out just for the simple reason that he wanted to.
To me he didn't seem the same after his wife Marti passed away a couple of years ago and I know he missed her tremendously.

May he rest in peace.

I too have had the pleasure of being a guest at Jerry's home, he was a kind and generous person.
Hopefully Jer and Marti are dancing cheek to cheek
A few weeks ago he and I were out hanging in the shop and me and my fellow Vettehead Pasta had just finished detailing King Ray. There was a whole shelf of new parts for a 67 and some that were left over from another resto. Jer said take anything you need off this shelf, (knowing that I had recently became unemployed) and there were a LOT of parts that I could have used. I thanked him but declined. That's the kind of guy he was and there aren't many of them like that in the Corvette business.

Jerry has not posted much over here in the last couple of years. His eyesight had gotten so bad that he could not navigate the site very well. I love that pic of Jer driving the KingRay, if you knew how blind he was, it would amaze you! He was one of the good guys and he will be missed by all of us.
