Default Spastic Clock Second Hand - 1964

The second hand on my clock does not move evenly. It jumps and takes almost no time to go from 12 to 1 and about ten seconds of stuttering back and forth to go from 6 to 7. The net result however is that it takes exactly 60 seconds to make a full revolution and the clock keeps perfect time. I'm thinking the second hand is not snug on the main shaft as opposed to a cleaning issue. The car has been sitting with the battery switch "off" since late November, only driven about 20 minutes a month. Now that it's a bit warmer, I'm going to leave the battery "on" for a day or two to see what happens. Any thoughts?

Its either not snug on the shaft or its hitting the lens...you have to bend them just right so they don't touch the plastic lens.

Jason, Thanks. I'm hoping it's coming off the main shaft and if pushing onto the shaft doesn't snug it up, I'm thinking a drop of loctite. Anything better?
