Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help with an electrical problem. Along with the 66 427/425 Corvette that we have I also have a 62 Impala. People in this forum have been so helpful to my brother and I on issues with our Corvette maybe some of you are familiar with the Impala too. I've only had the car for a couple of years. I went out to the garage this morning to move the car and I have no power at all. No lights, no dome light, no radio, not even a click on the starter, nothing. I have had no previous problems before today. I had it out for a ride just two weeks ago. So I checked the battery and it's fully charged. I leave it on a trickle charger with the battery disconnected while it's in the garage for long periods of time. I then checked the battery cable to the starter solenoid and it's got 12.6 volts. I took the starter out and had it checked and it works fine. While I had it out I replaced the solenoid and put it back together and still nothing. I'm guessing it's something under the dash that I may have bumped and has come loose. Does anyone have any ideas? Car show season is right around the corner and I don't want to miss any. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is there another wire in addition to your battery cable coming off the positive terminal of the battery? If so, check that wire for continuity. If that wire goes - you've got nothing. Don't know if your car has that wire but a lot of old Chevys I've had did.
We have a winner! Thanks Plaidside! That was it. The bulk connector was loose. She runs again! Thanks again to all of you and for all your ideas and help. See ya on the road.
