Get a Corvette service manual called ST-12, it has all the info you need in it for dash removal. They are sold by Corvette Central and I have seen them on Ebay.

You don't need a manual, just get under there and take things apart until it comes out. There are only about 4 bolts that hold it in.

make sure you mark all the wires as to where they go as you disconenct them.

You do have to remove the steering wheel.

Just pulled the cluster on my 62 the other day. Pop off the steering wheel as it will make it easier. There are 5 screws that screw up into the cluster support rail. Remove these 5 screws. They may be hiding under some of the fabric trim. Once these 5 screws are out you can lift it up from the front and start disconnecting all the gauge wires. Be careful pulling the bulb sockets out as they are brittle and the terminal will easily pull off the wire. Give them a twist and ease them out. Don't forget the tach and speedo cables. Once out there are 4 screws that hold the speedo housing to the lower housing. Easy job once you get under there and get the lay of the land.
