Default Headliner help

How do you install a headliner in a 65 Coupe. Is it hard to do? Any installation advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mine was not hard to get out, just unscrewed the mouldings on all 4 sides and it came down. I've not put it back together yet. The 65 headliner in mine was a one piece fiber board type material. I think the replacement are the same. Hope that helps.

It wasn't too hard to put in. Install the halo panel on the roof behind the doors but leave the mounting screws loose. Slide the headliner under that to support the back while you install the front and side trim pieces. Tighten up everything, and there it is.

I put in an Al Knoch headliner a couple of years ago. Its more a rigid plastic that fiberboard like the original, but looks good. As others have said, it isn't a difficult replacement.

I replaced the headliner in my 66 Coupe with an Al Knoch piece. I found the most difficult part was the clip that holds the over the door opening piece. They were very fragile and hard to locate and position them on the installation end. I had to order a couple after my originals bent and broke from LIC.

Thanks, the local interior shop quoted me $325 in labor to put it in. I thought it was a hard thing to do for that much money.
