Default tri power date codes

How early are '67 tripower carbs dated? Mine have 6B2 and 6B1 codes but there weren't '66 tripower cars. Would that early a dated carb be found on a '67?

I don't remember exactly, and I hate to shoot from the hip without reference material beside me, BUT...

As I recall, the second "digit" is the month.

It goes 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, for Jan, Feb, Mar, April, etc....

Then, it goes 0, A, B for Oct. Nov, Dec.

So....I'd think these carbs were made in 1966, December, Second week.

You are right on the money Chuck. I wouldn't expect anything less
from you though.

I suffer "CRS" anymore.

I should have added that the last "digit" is the week, so 1 would be the first week, 2 the second week, and so on.

Thanks Chuck. My car is a late Feb. build so it would make sense for a Dec. carb build date. The letter threw me. I bought the intake/ carbs 4 or 5 years after the car and didn't pay any attention to the carb codes. It was the early '80's and I was a newbie. I guess I got lucky they were dated just right.
