Default Re-Paint

I completed a frame off restoration about five years ago on my 1961. It was a complete frame off and the body was striped, repaired and painted, I used PPG Duracyrl lacquer.

I intend to repaint the 61 with the same products and would like recommendations on how to prep the body prior to paint. I plan on block sanding the entire car, make the small repairs to the fiberglass that have shown up since the restoration and then repaint.

Any advise would be appreciated!

Good Luck
Good article. I agree you do NOT have to strip down to glass. If the paint is not peeling or defective, do your repairs and re-seal. Then go from there with prime and block. If you have checking or shrinking, strip it to glass and start over.
