AU code rear...

AU code rear...

Hello all,
Did some snooping under the vette and noticed a AU code rear diff carrying 3:36 gears. Can you guys enlighten me on the AU application? Perhaps 396 and/or fuelie? Thanks for your time!

AU Rear

AU in 65 was a 336 posi 4 speed 396, 66 and 67 336 posi 4 speed 427.

Thats what we figured. Any info for the L84 fuelie cars? Might be a little harder to find out due to the limited production.

1) There is big block codes(all are posi).
2) There is small block codes(posi and non posi).

That is all the information on the rear-end.

No special codes for FI cars.

The BB rears had the capped stub axles, the SB rears used the U clamps. Chuck
