I'm doing one right now in my 64. It's not done but the motor has been started and had a system check. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to go from the mechanical gas linkage to cable and make it look nice.
Ask away, I've probably dealt with all the issues by now.

We went with a different gas pedal assembly from Lokar that mounts on the firewall and uses a cable to match up to the Ramjet throttle.

I'm not sure exactly how the original midyear throttle linkage looks like but here is an "under construction" picture of how we did it on our '62 with Ram Jet 350. Basically all I did was to extend the old throttle shaft over to the passenger side and add a bellcrank that attaches to a Lokar throttle cable. On the '59 I'm working on now I used the Lokar throttle pedal and cable which probably makes a neater installation.

Cbernhardt-
Do you have a Lokar number for the throttle cable you are using on the '62? Is it a universal one that can be cut to length? I am putting a TPI in my '60 and would like to keep the original gas pedal, if possible. TIA.

I don't have the Lokar part number, but it was one of their TPI cables. Just make sure the fittings on each end are compatible with what you are using. I think all of their cables can be cut to length.

I've looked at Lokar but didn't see anything that I thought would work. What part number did you use? AND, do you have any pictures of the installation?
One more thought, did you notch the frame for the lower pulley? I ended up buying a smaller diameter pulley to clear the frame. Had I known in advance that it would be an issue, I would have cut the frame before the engine went in.

Thanks, Charles, I didn't think to look in my Speedway Motors catalog. I checked it this morning and found what I needed.

I replied to your pm about the pedal. We used the standard billet aluminum one. I don't have pictures yet since that is my brother's car and its now at his new shop, (more room in mine now for more projects). We had no clearance issues with the frame and pulleys but we also went with a March serpintine belt set.
