Custom Wheels

the fronts are 7X17 with 3.5" back space
the rears are 8X18 with 4.5" back space.
Remember that I have a Myers racing front and rear suspension. We also tubbed the rear just enough that the soft top will still fit inside the soft top storage area behind the seats.
Sorting out tires and wheels was not easy. I started with 16" Cragars but ran into problems finding tires that didn't look like a rubber band and would fill enough of the wheel well. I ended up having to look at truck tires that were 16" and had enough height to them.
That was when I decided to abandon ship and go with 18" on the rear (I could find Goodyear F1's that would look good) and 17" on the front.
I tried one set of Cragars and about 4 different tires before I could really lock in on what would work and that was when I ordered the Junk Yard Dogs with tires. I have liked them since I got them.
With many of the custom wheels, such as BC you can select the back spacing within ranges. There should be one that they have that will work for you. I spent a lot of time on his web site as well as Goodyear/Goodrich and others looking for tires with the right size specifications.
Good luck!!!
Herb
ps...it was really important to me that the wheels and tires stay inside the stock wheel wells and not stick out, I wanted them to look like they fit there all along and not a second thought.

My question was that marketing wheels as one off wheels, is that possible when we've seen pics of them on another car?
