Need help with my 64 speedometer cable I need to replace the speedo gear in the transmission. I did it on my 67 .but the 64 is on the driverside and looks like you can not get it off unless you drop the tranny brace? has anyone taking it off and is there something I am not seeing Thanks in Advance
I jst replace mine. I bought a new 54" cable and found it was to short, about 1/8 ". So, I called John and he told me that if I had a later Muncie than a 64 it would take a 70" cable. Well my 1964 corvette has a 1968 Muncie in it and it does take a 70" cable. All I did was run the cable over the transmission and hooked both end up. I did not run across any problems. Good Luck
