I have a set of brand new side pipes for a small block. Paid $250 for them with a car I just bought. Bolted them on, started it up, WOW! Pretty much straight pipes. They came from Allens. Fit under standard covers, 2 1/2" diameter, chrome tips. Ran all of 1 minute. Yours for $200 plus shipping.
stock side pipes on my 65 are there baffles that i can remove want more noise........
If these pipes are factory originals you may want to hold on to them. It seems that plenty have complained about the aftermarket replacements as being too loud. I still have a set of originals on my 67' and they are plenty loud enough. Especially compared to the 1969 factory side exhaust on my C-3 (73' Coupe) that are very quiet in comparison although the sound comes across while driving. The 67' factory side exhaust really are just baffled pipe anyway. From what I understand there really isn't any muffler in these pipes as in the 69' side exhaust pipe.

I hope you never want to hear the radio or have a conversation with the "LOUD" side pipes. You won't be able to hear squat once you have them on. I have a buddy who added the aftermarket pipes to his 427 roadster and he is sorry for it now. At least with the factory pipes you can hear. Mine are factory and they are mellow compared to my buddy's. Good Luck.
