Default 1960 Acceleration Problem

Well I finally have my 1960 back from the shop where it underwent a number of "procedures" over the winter. It was completely rewired, the guages were completely redone, new carpet, sunvisors, steering wheel restored, and the interior was repainted. Everything seems to work fine (excepet for the blinkers/brake lights which is another story) but what my main concern at this time has to do with the acceleration. The car idles fine @ 900-1000 rpms but when you go to accelerate it seems to chug and bog down until you get to about 2500 rpms and then it accelerates very smoothly from there. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. The car has the original 283/245 2x4 engine with 3 speed transmission. The engine was rebuilt about 3 years ago and the carbs were rebuilt about the same time. The car ran fine prior to this winter's projects. I know someone here will be able to figure this out but I sure can't. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like some accelerator pump parts dried out to me.

If you are getting bog, first thing to look for is not enough fuel. Not an expert on your particular carbs, but the problems have the same cause.

Scott, I had the same thing happen in my 60 with a 650 holley double pumper. It would also buck a little in first going slow. I increased the jet sizes and accelerator pump and that fixed it.
