Yea, it does seem that it is often the same old cars over and over - new ones pop up, but at a slow rate.

Mark in Guam here. Do you still have the '65 pro street? Are trades considered?

Seems like there are some project cars out there but they sure are getting expensive for a pile of parts......kinda glad I picked up mine when I did, but buying many of the parts I need has been an expensive education.

Actually, I see a fair amount of C2s popping up on the Bay but very few meet reserve. It's a little like the current real estate industry here in CA; many sellers are still refusing to lower their prices so therefore no sale. It'll change.

I agree . Ebay is good advertising more than for actual car sales. I got tons of emails and offers via my personal email. I did not want to sell on Ebay as I don't think a sale should be done without some kind of inspection. I also set my reserve high in case it did sell so I could cover the Ebay costs for selling a $50K street rod like my 32 Ford.

Weather a car sells for $5000 or $500,000 the selling and listing fees are always the same.

Mine did not meet the reserve on Ebay. Actually, I never even bid on the car. It did introduce me to the seller though. He told me what he wanted, the sale ended and I paid his asking price.

oWEN,

I sold a couple of dirt bikes on Ebay and it cost me much more than the less expensive items I have listed and sold. Not sure how it works but the higher price stuff costs more to sell than the lower price?

Ken,

That is the case with some items, but not the case with cars. With cars there is a $40 listing fee and then if it sells there is a $50 selling fee. If a no sale, you do not pay.

Here is the page, have a look.

Tells you how much I use Ebay to sell stuff. Usually only buy when I find a very good deal.
