Lots of good info in this series of posts.
I have a question - my original 236-16 can starts to move at 2.5 to 3" and is fully advanced at 4" of Hg.
I am plagued by ping (Happened 2 weeks ago very suddenly like the can spring broke) in my 65 350 horse.
My guess is that the can spring has just lost its temper and needs to be replaced. Comments?
Also from Lars' chart you could believe that a B28 was the proper can for a L79 (and maybe more similar to my original cans specs) but the concensus seems to be the B20. (Also what about the B9 where the chart says "all except FI??)
