My rubber "doughnut", the steering coupler, is worn out! Is there a replacement (just the doughnut) without purchasing the whole unit? I was told by L.I.Corvette there is a difference in the Telescoping steering column and the regular unit as to the coupler. I have the teloscoping unit. It requires the whole replacement unit.
The "repair kits" are junk, and that's the only thing between your hands and the wheels that determines where the car is headed. Call Corvette Steering Service (www.corvettesteering.com) and they can rebuild the coupler you have, and do it correctly with the right parts.

Thank you both for the reply. It was an important question and I knew I would get the right answer on the Forum!
Calling them Tuesday!
Have a great Memorial weekend!

John you rock! I try to keep up on things but I've never heard of them!
My 67 is up on jack stands and this will be a great time to have them rebuild it.
