Air Filter...
Tried doing a search, but came up empty. Wondering what air filters are compatible with a 63 340 horse engine. The current air filter (dingy and needs to be replaced) is A353C, however, in the inside of the lid, it references A165C. I've tried all the FLAPS, but none of them seem to have the right replacement. Anyone have any luck finding a local replacement or am I going to have to result to ordering on the web? Thanks...
One guy at the parts store asked for what car and I said a 63 Corvette...he said, the one with the 427? At least he was in the right generation...

Thanks Dave...actually found one.
Not an AC Delco, but Napa. I took my air filter with me this time and tried to match it up to every round air filter I could find. Finally, the second Napa I went to, they had a Napa Gold 2079 that was a tad bigger, but not by much. Asked if I could return it if it didn't fit right, they of course said yes. Brought it home and while it doesn't fit as snug around the inside as the other one does, if I center it and then bolt down the top of the housing, it doesn't move inside. So it looks like there is a FLAPS replacement, a Napa Gold 2079.

I have been trying to locate an air filter for my '66 327 300hp. I tried the usual vendors but, they said it's on national backorder. Maybe I will try NAPA and see if they can get one. Thanks for the info.
