Carefully remove the spade connectors from the plastic holder {Keeping them in order!}, feed them through and re-insert them.

The spade connectors have a tab on the side that must be depressed by a tiny pen knief or screwdriver to remove them from the plastic gang holder.

I did mine once and the damn detents on the turn signal sw broke again within two weeks. Been holding the handle since.

One of the keys to longevity for the '67-'68 turn signal switch is not to manually return the lever from either signal position through the detent back to neutral; let the cancel mechanism do it.

John, That is very interesting. Is there any reason to be concerned with this on any of the other midyear designs? Thank you. Dave

67 and 68 used the same switch which was re-designed for the 4 way flasher. The design was not great and manually turning them off causes them to break. At least that's what I got from an older thread.

Thanks John.
I may get to try another switch when I service the steering column bearings later this summer. This time I'll slather the detents with Lubriplate.
