In rebuilding the z bar on my '65 convt I've discovered the clutch rod has a bend in it giving it a pretty good curved shape. Isn't this rod supposed to be perfectly straight? This car was wrecked on the drivers side at sometime before me and may be why a number of things seen to be a click off. This is the clutch pedal to the z bar rod. Help again!! Phil

I thought that the clutch rod from the pedal to the "Z" bar was a straight one. At least that's how I remember the rod on my car. Maybe I just don't remember correctly here.
Thanks everyone. My clutch rod has a curve in it that looks to be by design. That said ,it does not appear to fit correctly and it has been subjected to a grinder. The spacer at the bracket is missing and the pin on the bracket has been chewed up. I think I'll order all new parts and hope Bubba doesen't show up to help. Phil
