I put a TK600 in my car (2nd gen Camaro), and now have about 500 miles on it. It was really tight when I first installed it, and they told me it needs about 500 miles to loosen up. I has loosened up, it goes into all the gears fairly easily, but the neutral gate is still very stiff. It's better than it was, but it's still a chore to move the shift lever sideways across the neutral gate. Makes it very hard to shift from 2nd to 3rd -- either it gets hung up between the 1-2 and 3-4 gates, or it slides all the way over to 5th. Tough to apply just the right amount of sideways pressure to catch 3rd exactly without "fiddling" with it. This has the Lenco offset shifter. Anyone else experience this? Will this loosen up and shift more like a Muncie in awhile?

I think when most people say that they loosen up after 500 miles its may be more of a combination of breakin and getting used to shifting styles.Thay are quite different than a muncie.Good luck.
