Body build date question
From the trim tag, my body build date is B06 (September 6th).
From the tank sticker, the date the order was received was July 18th, 1966 and the expected date of production was September 30th, 1966.
Now, here's the wild card. I have verified that my car has the original frame (found the VIN stamped in the frame near the kickup), and that the body is almost all original (found job numbers written all over it).
How do you guys explain this? In the nose of the car, there was a date stamp of June 15th, 1966. (see picture)
Thoughts?

I guess I don't know what you are questioning. The body panels could have been produced a long time before the build date of the car. Most of the panels were interchangable except the gills and rear panels (67). As long as the date stamped on the piece is prior to the build date, I don't think I would worry about it.

Thanks guys, I figured it was just a "part assembly date".
Also, where else could I find stamps like that? I've been all over the car and don't see any others.

And you should be able to find several more of those date stamps on other component parts.
