Help, what is the secret to getting the connector off of the Ignition Switch? Do I need to pull the cluster out to get to this or is there a tool to release the latches that seem to be on either side of the connector?
Does anyone know how the two Ignition wires are routed in a 64 convertible I think the problem is the Ignition wire to the ballast resistor. There are two wires that come off the Ignition Switch terminal one to the ballast and one to the Accessory fuse block I think.

Insert key in switch. turn to acc position. straighten a paper clip. stick it in the little hole on the front of the switch while as the same time turning the key gently to the left-you will feel a little "button" that depresses a spring that holds the key cylinder in the switch-when that button is pressed the key will turn a little more and then just pull it out with the cylinder. then unscrew the bezel/nut holding the switch in. reinstall in reverse order. the cylinder just sticks in and turns to the right and will click in place. the whole job should take 2 minutes.
