Tire sizes
I had 205/75/15 on my 67 w/ rally wheels. I'm going to whitewall Michelin Symmetrys, and they're only available in 215/70/15. Anyone running this size tire without issues? With the 205s, it looked as though there was only about 1/4" frame clearance in the front in full lock. Just curious if I'm going to run into big issues going up a size. Thanks
Hi. I have a friend who runs 215/70R15 on his `67. He has no problems, but they look to "beefy" compared to the originals. If 195/75R15 is availiable they are closer to the original 7.75-15.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I was a bit worried about the rubbing, but if a few of you are running them without issues, that's all I needed to hear. I appreciate it!

I'd go with the bigger size. Just looks more correct for a sports/muscle car.
However, the larger size may rub on the frame rear of the front tires (where the idler arm fastens), or on the front sway bar. But it will do no damage to either the frame or the tire. Check clearance to the parking brake cable in the rear. That is easily fixed with a big hose clamp to hold the cable to the trailing arm. If you have the problem, I can send a link to a picture of the fix.
