Cleaning Trans Case
I'm looking for suggestions on cleaning my trans case. I have heard that Eagle One Mag Wheel Cleaner is one idea. Does anyone have other suggestions? Trans is out of the car and I have removed the grease/gunk/road grime with brake cleaner but looking to brighten up the case.

Naval Jelly
Hardware stores carry a product that is made for cleaning aluminum. It's either Naval Jelly or Aluminum Jelly, check the label. I used it years ago and it gets the oxidation off and brittens it up a bunch.

Whichever name it goes by, it's the same stuff. It's a mildly acidic jelly, so if you have cuts or scrapes on your hands, wear gloves. This will do a great job cleaning up the case.

Thanks for the replies, I think I will try several sugestions on the top side of the case where testing will not be visible until I find the best results.
