Leaking steering box
The steering box on my '57 is leaking. Can I put a new side gasket on without messing up the lash adjustment by just removing the four bolts?

Nope - you can't remove that cover without completely unscrewing the sector shaft adjusting bolt from the cover, then you have to re-adjust it per the procedure in the ST-12 (with the drag link disconnected from the pitman arm). The illustration below shows a section through the gear, looking at it from the rear in its installed position - the cover is on the left.
