Hood Date
Recently came across an ad in the For Sale Section, a member indicates the date of the BB hood for his vert. is Dec. 1965.
I was unaware that hoods had production dates????, can anyone confirm? - where would the date be located?

Checked my hood for stamps after seeing this post and the responses. This kind of stuff is very interesting.
Didn't see any ink stamping but did find faint numbers on the passenger side "19051". The "0" could have been a 6 but very faint. The "1"s could be "I"s but can't tell.
My car is a Dec 65 build.
Never read anywhere about numbers on the hood therefore never studied the underside until this post.
GrettG, glad you inquired. Did you ask the guy about the dating and is it the ink stamp or something like I mentioned?
