Default Rear End Code Deciphering

Hi All,
Helping to sell dad's '64, and he's at the shop now looking under the car. He's having a hard time seeing the codes on the rear end, but THINKS he saw "GE5" or "G15" under there. Does this make sense to anyone? I think there are supposed to be more numbers.

He's getting set to do the whole tire vs. driveshaft rotation observation now.

Thanks!

The code is located on the bottom of the differential between the strut rod mount bracket and the lip where the rear cover attaches. On the 64 there should be a 6 digit alphanumeric code reading something like CC-0409. Which would stand for 3.55:1 posi axle built at the Warren plant on April 9th. Get the code and give me a call at Duntov Motor Company 972-243-3838, I can look in my book and let you know what you have.

Here's where you'll find the stamped ratio and date codes:

I'll see if I can get back under for the actual codes. They did the tire / driveshaft thing & came up with a 4.11, and we knew already it was a Posi rear.
