Default Mini lights ?

Met a guy at Laguna Seca yesterday who really liked my car.... said I ought to put a set of "mini-light" wheels on it.

Does anybody know what those are? I'm old school with slotted mags.

Minilites were added to many British and Europeon sports cars.

See the below website:

http://www.minilitewheels.com/

Classic style, but not on America's favorite sports cars! For that, I would go with the American Racing Torq Thrust D (in the original "mag" finish - not the new chrome plated). Note that American Racing also has a rim very similar to the Minilite called the "Silverstone". See both at the below website:

The old slotted mags work as well!

Thanks for the quick response. Yea... I'll keep my American racing slots on for the time being.

If the guy you met was a vintage racer, actually, he would probably recognize the TT-D or 200S (both with "mag" finish) as the classic for vintage Corvettes as soon as he saw it. ("yeah, thats what I mean.")

I've seen a couple Vette's with Minilites on em. I wasn't too impressed.

One of the reasons they don't look right is that they were designed for 4 lug wheels (8 spokes).. they never looked right with a 5 lug center.

Guldstrand sold a 15x7.5 wheel with 5 mag finsh spokes for C-2 road racers (SCCA rule was stock rim width plus 1.5"). Anyone recall who's wheel that was?

I've found that when people tell me what I ought to do with my car, they usually back off when I ask them if they'll pay for it.
