Default bonding strips

I'm looking for a C1 or C2 and I noticed in several of the ads a lot is made about the car having good bonding strips. Why is this significant and how can you tell when buying?

The bonding strips are the pieces of fiberglass under or behind the body panels.

They are the strips onto which the panels are "hung" or attached together.

Many cars are repaired with one piece front ends, which have no bonding strips.

Many cars that have been repaired improperly have missing or broken bonding strips.

IMHO, it's a "sign" that the car hasn't been hit, or if it has been, it's been repaired correctly.

If you look at an AIM, in the proper section, you'll see how the body was assembled from multiple panels. You'll see the bonding strips and how they are used in the illustrations.
