Goodman, that EN-145 designation is Zip's part number. They are just the retail outlet, not the cam brand.

Please look at the timing card that came with the cam. You will find the Federal Mogul / Speed Pro / Sealed Power part number on it. If that part number is CS118-R, then you bought the 30-30 cam copy distributed by Sealed Power.

interesting that that cam is the replacement for both the FI & the LT-1; they're not the same cam, but how close are they?

Not very. The early LT-1 cam (not to be confused with the late model LT1 cam) is a relatively mild grind and generates more vacuum at idle. That is a good thing for FI operation.

The biggest problem I have with the 30-30 cam is getting owners to use enough valve lash. The most popular settings now are the "magic" numbers found in internet chat rooms. These settings (.024"/.026") are way too tight for FI applications.

People seem to have forgotten why they call it the "30-30" cam. It really needs at least .030" lash to make enough vacuum signal to satisfy a stock Rochester injection at idle.

the stock LT1 cam (70 - 72) is 24 & 30, and the same 'they' wantrd you to set it at 21 & 26... (the latest recommended #s are 16 & 23, i tried them and lost all my bottom end. don't know what the vacuum readings were though...)

with the OEM #s i get about 15" of vacuum at idle.

There it was
Had to peel off the sticker to verify the number.
Under the sticker I found CS-118R.
Guess this is the "30-30" copy then.
Difficult to see there was one sticker on top of the other, and I`m glad I kept the box by putting my old cam in it.

How about putting the calipers back on the 68. I dont like the idea of breaking loose those steel lines, Forget that stainless stuff. I need the L88 back in the car with some brakes. I balanced a new clutch and flywheel but need some missing pressure plate bolts. If you recall the 67 Camaro got the 88`s parts,
