i am starting the install tonight. i read in a few of the archive threads tp bend the tabs back that hold the rocker covers. since they are shaped to keep rigid what can i bend? do i just bend the bottom 3/4" back where they are flat? will this give me enough clearance to get the pipe installed?
also the brackets to hold the front of the covers. they are bent differently. is the straighter one for the driver's side?
Thanks for any help

Thanks, i have pulled off the right side exhaust and am getting the manifold ready for paint. i also need to get new exhaust manifold gaskets and a heat riser gasket. then i start to cut and mount the right side. it looks pretty simple and straight forward so i don't expect it to take too long once i get to mounting.
the AIM book states there is a retainer at the rear bolt between the cut slot in the frame and the rubber isolator. my kit did not come with anything. think i need to have that? my kit has the bolt, a rubber isolator, the pipe bracket, another isolator, a metal washer and then comes the bracket for the back of the cover.
