Bubba Strikes Again!
Dropped my defective power antenna today and not only is it some kind of aftermarket,but Bubba made up is own mounting bracket and backing plate. My main problem is he apparently put a new connector on the end of my antenna wire. Instead of being a nurreled(sp) nut ,its a 5/8 inch nut. I'm hoping this will thread on to my new repro antenna I plan on buying. I have my doubts. It measures 1/2 inch across the opening of the nut. Can somebody measure the diameter of their antenna wire nut or the diameter of the male connector on the antenna that the antenna wire connects to.......Thanks in advance,Gary

Suggestion:
Threads are measured by outside diameter and pitch (distance from the crest of one thread to the next) or threads per inch. Measure yours and post.
1/2" accross opening in a nut only gives an estimate of the tap drill size.
